Does anyone have the ancestry of Cristobal de Medina? I was looking at
other Medina's in my tree and was curious if there is a connection between
Cristóbal de Medina and Luis de Medina Valdivia who married María de
Siordia? Could he be their son?

I would say Cristóbal de Medina is probably related to Luis de Medina Valdivia in some way, I'm just not exactly sure how. On the IM of Cristóbal de Medina's son Don Diego de Medina y Lomas he's listed as Don Cristóbal de Medina y Valdivia: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-266-12149-60873-6?cc=1502404&w…
On the marriage of his son Juan de Medina, the scribe appears to write in Altuna after Medina for both Juan and Cristóbal de Medina, which may be another clue to his ancestry:

Unfortunately, without an actual record listing his parents, we can't know for sure. Maybe someone else in the forum has more information.

I wasn't aware there was a record of Cristóbal de Medina using Valdivia as
part of his name. That's interesting. I was looking at the dates and Cristóbal
de Medina married María de Ávila in 1666 and Luis de Medina Valdivia
married in 1614, it does seem possible he could be Luis's son.
