Help...what is a GEDCOM...where do i get it..and how does that help my research....im building my tree on the family tree maker and want to bring the info over to nuestros ranchos to share,,,but i really dont want to retype all that info..thanks in advance

gedcom 5.5 is more universal when exporting elsewhere.
export all files on Fanily Tree Maker and choose the option gedcom 5.5 into your computer files. you can now export that gedcom file to Nuestros Ranchos gedcom files or rootsweb.com.
